- Shake the container of lauryl sulfate broth well. Dissolve 35.6 grams of the medium in 1 liter of distilled water. Mix thoroughly.
- Heat gently until the medium is completely dissolved in the water.
- After the medium has dissolved, distribute it into test tubes containing Durham tubes.
- Autoclave at 121 degrees Celsius for 15 minutes.
- To prevent bubbling inside the Durham tubes, allow the autoclave to cool to at least 75 degrees Celsius before opening it.
STORAGE
The medium powder should be kept tightly closed and stored at temperatures below 30 degrees Celsius, and the medium should be stored at a temperature of 2-8 degrees Celsius. The best time to use is before the expiration date printed on the product label.
